Ceban about streamlining of traffic flow in Chisinau: It is MIA’s responsibility

The mayor of Chisinau denies responsibility for the streamlining of the traffic flow in Chisinau. Ion Ceban told a news conference that it is the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ responsibility as there is no municipal police, IPN reports.

The mayor was asked what the municipality does to solve the problem of traffic jams that intensified together with the start of the new school year. Ion Ceban answered that this is not within the remit of the local authorities.

“The Chisinau City Hall deals with infrastructure. This means roads, sidewalks, underground passages, pedestrian crossings, in some cases traffic lights and many other things. As to the streamlining of the traffic flow, this is the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I want the people to realize this. We do not have municipal police and there is no one who can direct traffic,” stated Ion Ceban.

After the new school year started, vehicle traffic became heavier on most of the streets in the capital city. At rush hour, especially in the morning, traffic jams often appear and make the reaching of destination difficult, with delays of tens of minutes.

Ice cream should only be purchased from authorized commercial units, kept at the recommended temperature and should not be refrozen once it has melted. The recommendations are made by the National Food Safety Agency, which warns that high temperatures during the summer can quickly affect the quality and safety of the product, reports IPN.

Consumers are advised to check if the packaging is intact, if the product is within its validity period, and to read the information on the label regarding the ingredients, storage conditions, and allergens. Moreover, specialists draw attention to the fact that ice cream should not show signs of melting and refreezing, such as large ice crystals, deformed packaging, or changes in texture.

According to ANSA, reading the label helps consumers to know the ingredients of the product, its nutritional value, and the allergens it contains. This information is particularly important for people with allergies or food intolerances.

In the case of bulk or dispenser-served ice cream, ANSA recommends consumers to observe whether the sales area is clean, whether the staff adheres to hygiene rules, and whether the product is constantly kept at the appropriate temperature.
