Women with endometriosis will benefit from partial compensation for the Dienogestum preparation, for pain relief and reduction of lesions. The measure is funded by the compulsory medical assistance insurance funds of the National Medical Insurance Company, reports IPN.
According to CNAM, another measure targets patients diagnosed with primary or familial hypercholesterolemia, who will benefit from drugs such as Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe. At the same time, the therapeutic indications for Methylprednisolone, used in the immunosuppressive treatment of patients who have undergone organ transplants, have been expanded.
At the same time, children and young people up to the age of 25 diagnosed with type 1 diabetes will benefit from sensors for continuous glucose monitoring.
The authorities mention that the expansion of the list of reimbursed medicines and medical devices aims to improve the population’s access to modern and efficient treatments, as well as to reduce the expenses borne by patients.
