The President of Romania, Nicusor Dan, summons all parties and political groups represented in Parliament for formal consultations regarding the nomination of the candidate for the position of Prime Minister, reports IPN.
The consultations at Cotroceni Palace will begin on Monday, 18th of May, at 09:00 AM, starting with the PSD delegation, followed by those of AUR and PNL.
The discussions will continue in the second part of the day with the leaders of USR, followed by those of UDMR and the parliamentary group of national minorities. The last meetings are scheduled with the representatives of S.O.S. Romania and with those of the Young People’s Party.
The initiative of the President of Romania comes after the informal consultations that Nicușor Dan had with the parties from the former governing coalition, following the dismissal of the Government led by Ilie Bolojan through a censure motion initiated by PSD and AUR.
