The Republic of Moldova could adopt Italy’s experience in the fields of active aging policies, inclusion of people with disabilities and reduction of informal labor. These topics were discussed by President Maia Sandu with Italy’s Minister of Labor and Social Policies, Marina Calderone, during her visit to Chisinau, reports IPN.
The head of state expressed her gratitude for the openness and constant support offered by the authorities in Rome to the Moldovan community in Italy and for the firm support of the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova. The President emphasized the importance of continuing reforms and close collaboration to advance in the accession process.
Additionally, Maia Sandu welcomed the implementation of the social security agreement between the two countries and the entry into force of the agreement on the recognition of driving licenses. According to her, such measures directly contribute to the protection of rights and facilitate the integration of Moldovan citizens residing in Italy.
