A park in Drochia will be modernized according to the latest typologies of urban green spaces. The initiative is part of the “Green Urban Path” project, carried out in the cities of Drochia in the Republic of Moldova and Săveni in Romania, within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova Program 2021-2027, reports IPN.
The project involves organizing workshops, a study visit for experience exchange, as well as a joint summer school dedicated to sustainable urbanism. The activities will involve 20 students from Drochia and Săveni, as well as over 19.5 thousand residents.
At the same time, a joint study will be conducted on the impact of green urban planning in the two cities, and an interdisciplinary group of specialists and architects will develop innovative solutions.
According to the State Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova, the total budget of the project is 773.5 thousand euros, and the non-reimbursable financing from European funds allocated to the city of Drochia amounts to 462 thousand euros.
