15 examination centers and nearly 3,000 candidates for the supplementary session of the baccalaureate

Approximately three thousand candidates will take the supplementary session of the baccalaureate exam, which will take place between July 13-17, in 15 baccalaureate centers approved by the National Examination Commission. The majority of candidates, over 2,000, have registered for the profile exam, reports IPN.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the exams will start daily at 10:00 AM. The first test, in Romanian Language and Literature for non-native speakers, will take place on July 13th, followed by the Instruction Language exam on July 14th, Foreign Language on July 15th, profile subject on July 16th, and elective subject on July 17th.

The authorities mention that for the Romanian Language and Literature exam for non-native speakers, 284 candidates are registered, for the Language of Instruction – 243, for the Foreign Language – 833, and for the elective subject – 284. The profile exam has the most registered candidates, 2,004 candidates.

The list of baccalaureate centers approved by the National Examination Commission shows that 10 out of the 15 centers will operate in the municipality of Chisinau, two in Balti, and one each will be opened in Comrat, Cahul, and Edinet.

Candidates from other districts have been assigned to the baccalaureate centers established for the supplementary session. The largest center will operate at the “Alecu Russo” High School in Chisinau, where 255 candidates are assigned, followed by the “Petru Rares” High School, with 249 candidates, and the “Gaudeamus” High School, with 247 candidates.

During the supplementary session, 15 republican evaluation commissions will operate, comprising approximately 150 evaluating teachers. The tests will be checked during the period of July 13-22, the preliminary results will be displayed on July 23, and appeals can be submitted on July 23 and 24. The final results will be announced on July 28.



Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
