The women’s football champion of the Republic of Moldova, Zimbru Chisinau, will meet the Kosovar team – KFF Mitrovica, in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League, reports IPN.
The match will take place on July 22, in the semifinal of the second group within the first preliminary round. In the other semifinal of the group, KÍ Klaksvík, from the Faroe Islands, and Ludogorets, from Bulgaria, will face off.
The winners of the two semifinals will play the group final, while the losers will meet in the match for third place. The team that will win the second group will qualify for the second preliminary round of the Champions League, where it will meet the teams Brann, from Norway, Ferencváros, from Hungary, and the winner of the first group from the first preliminary round.
Zimbru Chisinau qualified for the competition after winning the current edition of the National Women’s Football League.
