A section of local road has been rehabilitated in the village of Vadul lui Isac, Cahul district, and soon the locals will also have access to drinking water from the tap, thanks to the projects implemented through the National Programs “Europe is close” and “European Village”, second edition, reports IPN.

According to the National Office for Regional and Local Development, the rehabilitated road has a length of 0.24 km and connects several community institutions. For this purpose, the government has allocated, through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, approximately 1.65 million lei.

Soon, approximately 460 households, four public institutions and 12 economic agents will be connected to the new water supply system in the locality. Earlier, the City Hall building was renovated and made energy efficient.

The total investment for the implementation of the projects amounts to almost 12 million lei.

The village of Vadul lui Isac has approximately 2,600 inhabitants.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
