The International Police Cooperation Directorate of the General Inspectorate of Police has carried out the extradition of Hassan Toper, a citizen of Turkey, involved in the intentional murder of Eren Izzet, a crime committed in July 2024 in the Râșcani sector of the capital.
The investigations carried out in the criminal case have established that Hassan Toper played a crucial role in organizing and coordinating the assassination of the leader of a criminal group active on the territory of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as in aiding the escape of the crime’s perpetrator from Moldova.
In August 2024, Hassan Toper was announced internationally wanted through the OIPC-INTERPOL channels. In October of the same year, the man was detained by British authorities for extradition to Moldova. He is to be presented to the prosecutors for procedural documentation.
