People can donate food for the lonely elderly, supporting the preparation of warm meals as part of the “Table of Joy” campaign, organized by the Diaconia social mission for the 17th consecutive year. The collection will take place on April 4, on Palm Saturday, in large stores and shopping centers in Chisinau, as well as in about 40 localities in the country, reports IPN.

The collection will take place simultaneously in approximately 120 stores throughout the entire day. The organizers specify that the collected food is distributed throughout the year to the beneficiaries of the parish centers and social canteens.

According to them, every donation matters, and those who cannot reach the stores have the opportunity to contribute online.

At the previous edition, over 85 tons of products were donated in a single day, with the support of hundreds of volunteers and donors.
