Investments totaling 28,514,800 lei were attracted through the eVMS.md platform during the subscription period from October 6 to 15, almost double compared to the previous month, reports IPN.
During the ten-day subscription period, 587 transactions were made by 468 investors.
The majority of subscriptions, with investments of 21,704,500 lei, were directed towards 2-year state bonds, which have an interest rate of 6.80%. The other transactions targeted 3-year maturity VMS, for which the interest rate is 7%.
The interest on government securities is fixed and non-taxable, and payments are made twice a year, directly into the investors’ bank account. The next subscription round will take place between November 3-12.
According to an analysis by the Ministry of Finance, the typical investor in State Securities of the Republic of Moldova has an average age of 42 years and comes, predominantly, from the urban environment, especially from the city of Chisinau.
