Three railway platforms have been repaired and are ready for use at the stations in Causeni, Drochia, and Cimislia. The Moldova Railway states that the use of these platforms contributes to a more efficient organization of material transportation and reduces the downtime of wagons, reports IPN.
According to CFM, the jetties allow customers to receive large batches of construction materials at lower costs, thanks to the advantageous rates of rail transport. In addition, goods can be delivered on time, regardless of weather conditions, and transshipment and storage services are adapted according to needs.
Out of a total of 23 jetties intended for the unloading of gravel and other bulk materials, 18 are currently operational. These are located in the railway stations of Basarabeasca, Comrat, Taraclia, Cahul, Bender-2, Cainari, Revaca, Rogojeni, Floresti, Falesti, Rautel, Mateuti, Drochia, Bratuseni, Lipcani, Valcinet, Cimislia, and Causeni.
