The number of suspects in the case targeting the preparation of contract killings of public figures in Ukraine is increasing. On Friday evening, investigation officers and prosecutors announced the arrest of a 36-year-old man, considered a member of the criminal group, reports IPN.

The General Inspectorate of Police specifies that currently there are criminal prosecution actions against him, but no other details have been made public.

Earlier in the day, three of the four suspects initially detained in Moldova were arrested for 30 days. Among them is a man from Chisinau, considered the organizer of the scheme, and two accomplices, including a woman. In Ukraine, authorities have detained 11 suspects.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
