The Central Electoral Commission will notify the Ministry of Justice to initiate the dissolution procedure for four political parties that have repeatedly failed to present their financial management reports. These are the Socialist Party of Moldova, the Christian-Social Union of Moldova Political Party, the “Chance” Political Party, and the Alternativa and Salvation Force of Moldova Political Party, reports IPN.

The decision was approved in Tuesday’s CEC meeting, after the institution found that the formations had not fulfilled their reporting obligations within the timeframe and conditions stipulated by law.

According to the CEC, 57 parties have submitted their financial reports within the legal deadline, by July 15, through the specialized informational system “Financial Control”. Two other formations – the Political Party Central Union of Moldova and the Political Party Social Reform Movement – presented the documents after the deadline, but before the CEC decision was adopted.

At the same time, the Commission has imposed additional sanctions on two formations. The Party of Alternative and Salvation Force of Moldova will be deprived for 12 months of the allocations from the state budget granted based on the results obtained in the general local elections of 2023.

At the same time, the Political Party “Christian-Social Union of Moldova” will not benefit, for six months, from the allocations related to the results obtained in the general local elections of 2023 and the parliamentary elections of 2025.
