The traditional activities dedicated to the “Last Bell” festivities will take place in the city of Chisinau on May 29 and will last no more than 45 minutes. The General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport specifies that the event will maintain its solemn character, including by honoring the state symbols and those of the city of Chisinau, reports IPN.

Educational institutions will ensure the orderly and safe conduct of events. Students will be informed about the end of the second semester and the period of national exams, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Research.

According to the MEC, each educational institution will establish the format and time of the assembly, after consulting the school community – students, parents, and teaching staff.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
