Update: Termoelectrica specifies that the modernization works on the heating networks for the year 2026 are scheduled in the investment plan approved by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, and that delays in obtaining coordination approvals and permissive documents may affect their timely completion.
The company states that urgent interventions, caused by breakdowns or malfunctions, must be carried out promptly to ensure the continuity of the heat supply. Termoelectrica also recognizes its obligation to restore surfaces affected by the works to their original state, in accordance with legal provisions.
Initial news: Termoelectrica will no longer receive permits for network interventions if it does not meet the conditions set by the municipality. The statement was made by the mayor, Ion Ceban, during the operational meeting of the municipal services. The mayor requests the securing of the construction sites and the proper rehabilitation of the areas after the completion of the works, reports IPN.
Ion Ceban mentions that, after the rehabilitation of the roadway, sidewalks, and public spaces by the municipality, Termoelectrica intervenes with network works and deteriorates the repaired surfaces. The mayor requests informing the citizens, a few days in advance, about the planned interventions of Termoelectrica, as well as the installation of panels indicating the period in which the works will be carried out.
“Where there are emergency situations and there is an urgent need, we coordinate in the same way, but where there are planned interventions and they intervene over the already rehabilitated roads, this should definitely not be allowed”, stated the general mayor.
Requested by IPN, Termoelectrica clarifies that it will soon provide a response.
