The Single Consumer Call Centre has been launched. The project was implemented with EU financial support in the amount of €60,000, being a partnership between the State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection and the Henri Capitant Association for Legal Culture, IPN reports.
The Inspectorate noted that each consumer who will contact the Call Center will receive quick answers, advice or will be redirected to the responsible institutions.
Calls to 022 515 151 can be made from Monday through Friday, between 08:30 a.m. and 04:30 p.m. Calls that will come outside this schedule will be recorded, and consumers will be contacted back by operators after processing the recordings.
“The creation of the Single Call Center is a major strategic step in strengthening consumer protection in the Republic of Moldova,” Ina Voicu, secretary general of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, stated at the launch.
“We live in a consumption-based environment and it is essential that every consumer has access to a fast and efficient mechanism to solve their problems,” said the head of the Consumer Protection Inspectorate Sergiu Dărănuță.
The purpose of the initiative is to improve the protection of consumer rights in the Republic of Moldova by centralizing and streamlining the call and advisory services for citizens. Also, the organizers say that the project is an important step towards meeting the European Union standards.
