Schools in the capital will not operate on Monday, January 26, due to unfavorable weather conditions. The announcement was made by Mayor Ion Ceban, reports IPN.
Taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and the unfavorable weather conditions throughout the country, the municipality has decided that schools will not operate on Monday, with lessons being made up over the course of the semester, the mayor specified.
“At the same time, we come with a recommendation to the Government and employers to be understanding with parents whose children are in primary classes and need to remain under supervision,” added the mayor.
Meteorologists continue to forecast sleet and temperatures of 0, -1, and -2 degrees. Under such conditions, the interventions of special vehicles, although continuous, cannot prevent the formation of ice. Municipal authorities urge caution and assure that workers continue to intervene without interruption.
