Scholarship and remuneration from 5500 lei: a new project to accelerate dual education

A new project to accelerate dual technical vocational education will be implemented over the next three years in the Republic of Moldova. This will provide students from vocational schools and colleges, as well as middle school graduates, with enhanced opportunities to continue their studies and work concurrently. Currently, dual education includes 45 technical vocational education institutions, which offer vocational training programs in partnership with over 200 economic units, reports IPN.

Highlighting the increasing interest of young people in dual education, Silviu Gincu, head of department within the Ministry of Education and Research, mentioned that this form of study is free for all those who do not hold similar qualifications in the chosen field.

“We have an increasing number of partners getting involved in dual education, and this makes us happy, as we manage to offer young people a future in the Republic of Moldova,” said Silviu Gincu, as quoted in a press release from the ministry.

The state offers young people involved in dual education scholarships starting from 700 lei and dormitory accommodation. The training is free, and the remuneration offered to students starts from 5500 lei, depending on the workload, the authorities specify.

Diesel exceeds the threshold of 29 lei per liter. The National Agency for Energy Regulation has increased the maximum reference price by 48 bani. Therefore, on Wednesday, standard diesel will be sold at the pump for 29.01 lei per liter, IPN reports.

At the same time, a liter of gasoline with an octane rating of 95 will cost a maximum of 29.41 lei, an increase of 22 bani.

Recently, oil prices have been constantly increasing amid the intensification of violence in the Middle East and the interruption of supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.

After an increase above the threshold of 90 dollars, the price of Brent oil fell today to 89.73 dollars per barrel, while a barrel of WTI oil reached 83.01 dollars, from almost 85 dollars. Volatility remains high as there is no predictability regarding deliveries and the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran has been suspended.
