Companies and other taxpayers who pay local taxes have until July 27 to submit their tax reports for the first six months of the year and to pay the amounts owed. The State Fiscal Service warns that exceeding the deadline may result in penalties and late payment increases, reports IPN.

By this date, the Local Tax Report, form TL13, must be submitted, through which taxpayers declare the taxes calculated for the activity carried out. These taxes are set by local authorities and can target areas such as land development, commercial units, markets, parking lots or outdoor advertising.

By July 27, the Report on the Natural Resources Taxes, form TRN21, must also be submitted. The document is mandatory for taxpayers who use resources such as water, sand, gravel, or other resources provided by legislation, and indicates the volumes used and the taxes due.

The State Tax Service recommends taxpayers to submit documents and pay taxes in a timely manner, to avoid potential technical issues or delays. Non-compliance with tax deadlines can lead to the application of fines and late payment surcharges.

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are urged to avoid any non-essential travel to the Middle East, due to the deterioration of the security situation in the region. At the same time, those who are already in the affected states are advised to exercise maximum caution, to follow the recommendations of local authorities and to strictly adhere to the instructions issued in emergency situations, reports IPN.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens inform themselves exclusively from official sources regarding the evolution of the security situation and maintain contact with the diplomatic missions of Moldova in the countries where they are located.

According to the MFA, several states in the region have restrictions on the use of airspace, which may affect the schedule of flights. In this context, citizens should periodically check the status of flights with airlines or travel agencies and consider alternative routes only if they do not involve additional security risks.

For consular assistance, citizens can contact the embassies of the Republic of Moldova in Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Azerbaijan, the latter being also accredited for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifies that it continues to monitor developments in the Middle East and will inform the public in case of new relevant developments.
