The Central Electoral Commission announces that on Thursday, September 18, the printing of the ballots for the parliamentary elections on September 28 will begin, which will be used in the polling stations across the country. The circulation established by the electoral authority is 2,772,255 ballots, reports IPN.
The bulletins will be printed at the Polygraphic Combine on Mitropolit Petru Movila Street, starting at 10:00 AM. Representatives of the electoral competitors, journalists, and accredited observers can attend the process of making the ballot matrix, the printing of these, as well as the destruction of the matrix after the process is completed.
The majority of the ballots for the polling stations in the country will traditionally be in Romanian – 2,170,039 copies. In addition, over 649 thousand ballots will be printed in Russian and several thousand in Gagauz and Bulgarian. For voters from the Roma community, 416 ballots will be printed in Romani.
Voters from the Transnistrian region will receive 23.5 thousand ballots.
On the voting ballots for the parliamentary scrutiny, there will be 23 political parties, electoral blocks, and independent candidates. The width of the ballot is 140 mm, and the length – 587 mm.
For the voters from the diaspora, including those who vote by correspondence, the ballots have already been printed and dispatched to the countries that will host the 301 polling stations opened abroad for this election.
