Moldova is firmly and irreversibly on the European path, and the Growth Plan offered by the EU will support the creation of European living conditions here, at home. The statement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean during the farewell meeting with the head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau, Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks, who is ending his mandate after four years in the Republic of Moldova, reports IPN.
During the discussions, the officials reviewed the projects carried out with European support and the progress made in various fields, such as energy, agriculture, cybersecurity and justice reform.
The Prime Minister thanked the diplomat for his constant support and for the European Union’s contribution to the implementation of reforms in Moldova. Dorin Recean assured that the executive will prioritize the necessary actions to accelerate the process of joining the community bloc. “The European Union has been with us at all important stages – both in times of crisis, when we needed support, and in our integration efforts.”
Ambassador Jānis Mažeiks was appointed as the head of the European Union Delegation in Moldova in the year 2021.
