Pest control operations carried in over 3,500 Chisinau apartment buildings

Workers of the Housing and Amenities Directorate carried out pest control operations in 3,558 apartment blocks, processing a total area of 2.23 million square meters, the Directorate’s head Ion Burdiumov told the Chisinau City Hall’s meeting on Monday.

Ion Burdiumov said the effort is ongoing. Last week alone, about 300 apartment blocks were processed.

“Let me reiterate, if our services are needed or the plan doesn’t cover a specific address, we ask members of the public to notify us by mail, letter or phone and we will intervene urgently to carry out pest control where necessary”, said Burdiumov.

Residents of Chisinau may solicit pest control services at the phone number: 022-22-54-61, by email at [email protected], or by visiting the website eu.chisinau.md.

ANRE will examine the request for a gas price increase on Friday

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
