A suitcase containing over 6 kilograms of drugs was discovered in a route minibus, coming from Romania to Chisinau. The driver of the vehicle was detained as a suspect, reports IPN.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, the minibus presented itself for inspection at the Leuseni customs post. During the checks, customs inspectors and border police discovered a suitcase containing 12 packages with a crystalline substance, with a specific smell.
The substance was analyzed with a portable drug identification device, and the preliminary results indicate that it could be a PVP type drug. The material is to be subjected to laboratory tests for confirmation.
The minibus, which was carrying 18 passengers, was escorted to the arrival station in Chisinau, so that people could disembark safely. The prosecutors specify that the investigations continue, in order to establish all the circumstances of the case and identify the persons involved.
