Farmers who concluded insurance contracts in agriculture last year can request financial support from the state to cover a portion of the insurance premium costs. According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture, applications can be submitted from September 1 to 30, IPN reports.

The support is provided from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment. Applications can be submitted to the territorial directorates of AIPA, from Monday to Friday, between 08:00 AM and 05:00 PM. The value of the aid is determined within the limits of the funds available, and the support quota is approved by the Government for the risks and agricultural goods included in the eligible list.

According to a Government decision, the farmer pays 30% of the insurance premium cost, while the remaining 70% is covered by the state and transferred directly into the insurance company’s account.

AIPA strongly recommends eligible farmers to prepare the necessary documents in advance. Information regarding the documents and conditions for granting support is available on the agency’s page.
