Approximately 10 thousand students from Chisinau participated this summer in the camps organized by the municipal authorities. Out of these, over 1,300 students benefited from a full fee waiver, reports IPN.
The General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the city of Chisinau mentions that the facility was granted to allow the participation in camps of children from families who need support.
Throughout the summer, the children participated in educational, sports, creative, and recreational activities. The municipal authorities mention that the programs were organized to offer students activities during the vacation in a safe, active, and friendly environment.
For the organization of the summer season, the municipality has allocated over 36 million lei. Out of this amount, over 4.5 million lei were spent on preparing the camps before the start of the season.
