The Republic of Moldova remains the main buyer of butter and wheat flour from Ukraine in the first two months of the current year. According to data from the Ukrainian Customs Service, Moldova imported 42.2% of the total butter exports and 30% of the flour exports in the current trading season, reports IPN.

This year’s trend consolidates the growth from the previous year. In 2025, Ukraine exported a total of 15 thousand tons of butter, generating revenues of 107.4 million dollars. Moldova was the main importer, purchasing 31.4% of the total quantity exported, followed by Azerbaijan and Poland.

Regarding wheat flour, Moldova maintains its position as the main destination in the current commercial season (July 2025 – June 2026), representing 30% of Ukrainian exports.

Although Ukraine has reduced the total volume of flour exported by 7%, delivering 37,500 tons in the first seven months of the season, the Moldovan market remains the most important, followed by Palestine and the Czech Republic.
