Employees of the Chisinau City Hall who can work remotely will stay home on Wednesday, February 18th. The decision was announced by the general mayor, Ion Ceban, in the context of forecasts of heavy snowfall, reports IPN.
“I have arranged for employees and those who can work remotely to stay remote. I propose that all institutions do the same,” the mayor declared.
Ion Ceban also proposes that students in Chisinau should learn online. “We say this now, in the evening, so that everyone can schedule their time,” Ceban added.
The mayor urged citizens to stay at home unless they have emergencies and to allow municipal teams to promptly intervene for street cleaning.
The Ministry of Education and Research has allowed education departments to decide how schools will organize lessons on February 18, depending on the weather conditions in each locality.
