Diesel exceeds the threshold of 29 lei per liter. The National Agency for Energy Regulation has increased the maximum reference price by 48 bani. Therefore, on Wednesday, standard diesel will be sold at the pump for 29.01 lei per liter, IPN reports.

At the same time, a liter of gasoline with an octane rating of 95 will cost a maximum of 29.41 lei, an increase of 22 bani.

Recently, oil prices have been constantly increasing amid the intensification of violence in the Middle East and the interruption of supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.

After an increase above the threshold of 90 dollars, the price of Brent oil fell today to 89.73 dollars per barrel, while a barrel of WTI oil reached 83.01 dollars, from almost 85 dollars. Volatility remains high as there is no predictability regarding deliveries and the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran has been suspended.
