A drone attack has caused casualties and significant damage to a college and student dormitory in the city of Starobelsk, in the Russian-controlled Lugansk region of Ukraine. The rescue teams of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations have reported that they have retrieved the lifeless body of a person from the ruins, and there may still be victims under the rubble. Kiev has not yet commented on the case, reports IPN.
The local leader of the region, Leonid Pasecinik, stated that during the attack, 86 children were in the dormitory, and a total of 35 people were injured. According to him, as a result of the bombings, several administrative buildings, shops and private residences in the city were damaged.
Rescue teams intervene to extract victims from the rubble, however operations have been temporarily suspended at the shelter due to the threat of a repeated attack.
