The residents of Chisinau are invited to participate in a sociological study to contribute to the update of the General Urban Plan of the capital, a document that will guide the city’s development over the next 15-20 years. More specifically, city dwellers will be asked about their real priorities and needs in the field of urban development, reports IPN.
The questionnaire is intended for individuals over the age of 16 who live, work, or study in Chisinau, as specified by the Chisinau City Hall.
The General Urban Plan establishes the areas designated for the construction of housing, economic spaces and infrastructure, as well as the routes of future roads, public transport lines and bicycle lanes. Additionally, the document defines the green spaces that need to be protected or expanded and the order of priority for public investments.
The municipality emphasizes that the opinions of the residents are important for adapting these directions to the real needs of the city. The local authorities assure that the responses will be confidential and anonymous, being used only for the general analysis of the results.
