The Russian military attacked several regions in Ukraine using drones and artillery, according to the Ukrainian armed forces. The attacks caused multiple casualties and significant damage in several regions, including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Donetsk, IPN reports.
Following the attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region, a nine-year-old girl died, a 16-year-old boy was injured, and several civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. In total, 628 attacks were carried out over the course of one day against 24 localities in the region, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration of Zaporizhzhia.
A series of strikes targeted the city of Kharkiv and nine nearby localities, injuring six people. The region was attacked with various types of weapons, including Shahed drones, unguided rockets, and guided aerial bombs. Dozens of other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed, announced the city’s mayor, Igor Terekhov.
Additionally, Aleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration of Kherson, announced that the Russian military carried out artillery attacks on the region, resulting in three deaths and ten injuries.
Authorities in the Sumy region announced that one person was injured during the attacks and later died in hospital. Four other people were injured. Over 160 strikes targeted several localities in the region. Among the weapons used were aerial bombs, multiple launch rocket systems, and explosive devices carried by drones.
In the Donetsk region, governor Vadim Filashkin stated that five civilians were killed and nine others were injured as a result of the attacks.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense declared that between May 24 and 30, the Russian military carried out seven attacks using precision weapons and drones. There was no mention of any civilian casualties.
