Currently, at the Municipal Shelter and Orientation Center for the homeless on Haltei Street, there are 89 beneficiaries accommodated. The capital’s City Hall mentions that, although the institution primarily addresses the residents of Chisinau, people from the districts often end up here, reports IPN.
The center is equipped with furnished bedrooms, a canteen, sanitary groups, personal hygiene spaces and laundry facilities. Here, beneficiaries receive temporary accommodation, warm meals, decent living conditions and medical and social assistance.

In addition to accommodation and food, the institution provides hygiene and health services, social, psychological and legal counseling, as well as assistance in obtaining documents and establishing social rights. Furthermore, the Center offers support for the social and professional reintegration of its beneficiaries.
The center is located on Haltei Street No. 2. The service is provided by the Chișinău City Hall and is fully funded by the municipal budget.
