The Head of the Public Relations Department of the Customs Service, Tatiana Sompol, is alleged to have accumulated an unjustified fortune of over two million lei. A statement to this effect was issued by the National Integrity Authority, reports IPN.

ANI stated that a substantial difference was identified between the wealth acquired and the income earned, on one hand, and on the other hand – the expenses incurred over the years 2019-2023 with regard to the person under scrutiny and his family members.

According to the report, the purchases include apartments, luxury cars, and a non-residential property.

The Head of the Public Relations Department of the Customs Service, Tatiana Sompol, provided explanations to the ANI regarding the sources of the acquired goods, donations, and other incomes mentioned in the document. Based on the findings, ANI decided to forward the case to court, aiming at the confiscation of unjustified wealth. The termination of the mandate, employment or service relations of the head of the Public Relations Section of the Customs Service was ordered, and her disqualification from exercising public functions for a period of three years, and Tatiana Șompol’s name will be included in the State Register of persons with prohibitions, in accordance with legal provisions, announces ANI.
