Ana Groza is the new president of the National Confederation of Employers from Moldova

Ana Groza, the executive director of the Association of Foreign Investors in the Republic of Moldova, was unanimously elected as the president of the National Confederation of Employers of Moldova. The decision was made during the general assembly of the organization, reports IPN.

She stated that the new stage of the CNPM must be one of continuity and adaptation to current economic realities. According to Ana Groza, the organization must represent Moldovan employers in a balanced way, regardless of the size of the companies, their field of activity, or the region from which they originate. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of a social dialogue based on consultation and legislative predictability, as well as the involvement of the employer community in the process of European integration.

The event also marked 30 years of activity of the CNPM. The meeting was attended by representatives of the business environment, institutional partners and state officials, among whom were Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Finance Minister, Andrian Gavrilita.

In his message, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu stated that the economic development and European path of the country depend, among other things, on the involvement of the business environment. According to him, the authorities aim to transform the Republic of Moldova into a more competitive and more attractive economy for investments – a goal that can only be achieved together with the business environment.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
