An employee of the “Fulger” Special Purpose Police Brigade was injured in the leg following an incident that occurred within the institution. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the bullet ricocheted after an unintentional shot from a colleague’s service weapon, reports IPN.
Law enforcement officials specify that the police officer whose weapon was involved in the incident has over 20 years of activity and experience in handling firearms.
IGP states that immediate medical assistance was provided to the injured person, and their life and health are not in danger.
The case is being investigated to determine all the circumstances of the incident, with the Prosecutor’s Office being notified.
