The next round of peace negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine, Russia, and the United States will take place on February 17 and 18, in Geneva. The meeting was confirmed on Friday by both Moscow and Kiev, reports IPN.
The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, clarified that the Russian delegation will be represented by presidential adviser Vladimir Medinsky, who previously led the negotiating team at the bilateral peace talks in June 2025, held in Istanbul.
Subsequently, the presidential advisor from Kiev, Dmitri Litvin, confirmed to journalists the scheduling of the next round of negotiations, on Tuesday and Wednesday, in Geneva. He specified that the Ukrainian delegation is in preparation, and its leader, Rustem Umerov, will return with details.
The first two rounds of trilateral peace negotiations took place in Abu Dhabi, in January and February. During these, Russia and Ukraine agreed to release 157 war prisoners each.
