A 12-year-old girl drowned in the Dniester River, in the area of a beach in Tiraspol

A 12-year-old girl drowned in the Dniester river, in the “Socrates” beach area of Tiraspol, while swimming. According to the so-called Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region, the girl tried to surface and asked for help. Witnesses say that a young man on the beach tried to save her, but without success, reports IPN.

Rescuers intervened at the scene, who pulled the child out of the water and began resuscitation maneuvers. Subsequently, the medical teams continued the first aid procedures, but without result.

In this context, people are warned that swimming in the “Socrates” beach area poses major risks, and it is recommended to avoid this location. At the same time, parents are urged to constantly supervise their children near the waters.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
