Over 500 young educators will begin their work in schools from September 1st

Over 500 young educators are set to begin their work in educational institutions across the country from September 1st. The data was presented by the acting Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, at the end of the first stage of submitting files for the distribution of graduates in schools, reports IPN.

According to the official, the Ministry of Education will contact graduates who have not yet participated in the distribution contest, to inform them about the available opportunities and to encourage them to join the process. Those who have not managed to submit their files in the first stage will be able to participate in the additional distribution rounds, and the authorities claim they are prepared to hire new teaching staff even during the month of October.

Dan Perciun further specified that, this year, the one-time employment allowances for young educators have been increased, reaching up to 375 thousand lei. The financial support is offered to graduates who choose to teach subjects with a shortage of teaching staff, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science, but also Romanian language in educational institutions where teaching is conducted in languages other than Romanian.

The allowances are intended for young teachers who choose to work in schools outside the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti.



Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
