70 schools in Moldova get multifunctional boards and laptops from Romania

Seventy schools of the Republic of Moldova received digital equipment for modernizing the education system – multifunctional boards and laptopsfrom the Government of Romania through the agency of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports

In a post on Facebook, secretary of state of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova Adrian Dupu said that a handover-receipt report was signed at the Moldova State University together with secretary of state of the Ministry of Education and Research of Moldova Valentina Olaru, in the presence of school principals and the local public authorities. The beneficiaries could later come into possession of the equipment.

The project forms part of the Department for the Relationship with the Republic of Moldova’s strategy for supporting the educational process in the Republic of Moldova and for educating the future generations.



Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
