The construction works of a new aqueduct, which will provide drinking water to 10 localities in the Nisporeni district, were launched on Wednesday. The system will serve approximately 9,000 residents, reports IPN.

According to the Central Regional Development Agency, we are talking about the localities of Cioresti, Vulcanesti, Milesti, Balanesti, Gaureni, Vanatori, Ciutesti, Seliste, Valea Narnovei, and Paruceni.

As of Wednesday, in the city of Nisporeni, the modernization works of the infrastructure in the Satul Nou neighborhood have begun. The investment, worth over 22 million lei, includes the rehabilitation of pedestrian paths, improving access to the kindergarten, and the arrangement of public spaces in the area.

Both projects are carried out within the framework of the regional development program, with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and local public authorities.

Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
