Students from Chisinau will return to school for physical attendance on Monday, February 9th. The announcement was made on Sunday by the City Hall, reports IPN.

“In the event of inclement weather or unfavorable conditions, we will inform all citizens, as always,” the capital’s authorities have stated.

Municipal services were also involved over the weekend in cleaning sidewalks and spreading anti-slip material near schools, kindergartens, and hospitals, as well as in the vicinity of public transport stations.

The yellow code for bad weather is valid until Monday morning, February 9th.

Traffic on Minsk Street in the capital will be suspended from July 20-24. The restrictions target the section between Hanul Morii and Cetatea Alba streets, in the Botanica sector. To reach the area, drivers will be able to use Tașkent Street, reports IPN.

The measure was established based on a provision of the City Hall of Chisinau and is necessary for the execution of connection works to the water supply and sewerage networks on Tallin Street, 21.

During the interventions, temporary road signs and protective barriers will be installed in the area. After the completion of the works, the road surface will be restored.

The General Inspectorate of Police recommends drivers to drive cautiously, to respect temporary road signs and to choose alternative routes to avoid traffic jams and delays.
