8.3 billion lei were accumulated in the AOAM funds in the first 7 months of the year

The National Company for Medical Insurance has accumulated, in the period from January to July, revenues of over 8.3 billion lei in the mandatory health insurance funds. The amount represents an increase of 11.6% compared to the same period last year, IPN reports.

The majority of the income – 5.4 billion lei – comes from medical insurance premiums as a percentage of the salary. Fixed-sum premiums, paid by individuals who do not have an employer or do not earn permanent taxable income, amounted to over 335 million lei.

Also, transfers from the state budget amounted to 2.4 billion lei in the first seven months of the current year.

At the same time, from the AOAM funds, total expenditures of almost 9.5 billion lei were made, of which about 9.4 billion were transferred to the contracted medical and pharmaceutical service providers.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
