A man, 45, was electrocuted and killed while working on a faulty lift at the Ialoveni District Hospital.
Despite the location, the worker died before medical help could arrive and the resuscitation was unsuccessful, IPN learned from a police source.
The man was the employee of a Chisinau elevator service firm.
Traffic at the intersection of Tudor Vladimirescu, Aerodromului and Nicolae Dimo streets in the capital will be suspended from Friday, 10:00 PM, until Monday, 05:00 AM. The restrictions are imposed for repair works on a malfunction in the public sewage network, reports IPN.
The City Hall of Chisinau mentions that during the works, the trolleybus on route no. 7 will suspend its circulation. Also, the bus on route no. 19 will operate, on the return direction, on a modified route: from Nicolae Dimo street to Alecu Russo, Kiev and Tudor Vladimirescu streets, then on the National Renaissance Boulevard, after which it will return to the established route.
Traffic restrictions will also be applied on Sarmizegetusa Street, on the section between Burebista Street and Cuza-Voda Boulevard. Traffic will be completely suspended on the nights of August 2nd to 3rd and August 3rd to 4th, between the hours of 08:00 PM and 07:00 AM, for routine repair works.
During this period, the trolleybuses on routes no. 20 and 28 will be redirected, in both directions, onto Muncesti road. Also, the route of trolleybus no. 1 will be temporarily modified, it will circulate on Nicolai Zelinski and Trandafirilor streets, after which it will return to its usual route.
At the same time, traffic on Mesterul Manole street will be partially restricted, by lanes, on the section between Vadul lui Voda and Maria Dragan streets, in the direction towards Maria Dragan street. The restrictions will be in effect from August 3 to September 18 and are necessary for road repair works.
Drivers are urged to comply with road signs, follow the directions of traffic officers, and avoid, as much as possible, areas with restrictions.

The Parliament has already adopted dozens of laws for the transposition of European legislation, but the bulk of the work is yet to come in the second half of the year. The statement was made by the president of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration, PAS deputy Marcel Spatari, in an interview for IPN.
According to the official, over 300 legislative acts necessary for alignment with the community acquis are planned for 2026, of which about 50 have already been adopted. The rest are to be examined in the next parliamentary session.
Marcel Spatari mentioned that, regardless of the pace of political negotiations at the European Union level, the Republic of Moldova continues its reform agenda and the preparation of institutions for the application of European standards. According to him, significant progress was made in the first half of the year in the accession process, including the political opening of two negotiation clusters with the European Union. These establish the criteria and reforms that the Republic of Moldova must meet to advance the negotiations.
The deputy emphasized that European integration does not only mean the adoption of laws, but also the modernization of public systems, the strengthening of institutions, and the preparation of the economy for integration into the single European market.
At the same time, Marcel Spatari highlighted Romania’s role in supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova. According to him, the relations between the two states are very good at both parliamentary and governmental levels, and Romania continues to be an active supporter of Chisinau. The deputy also mentioned the joint infrastructure, education and culture projects implemented in recent years with the support of Romanian authorities.
