Trilateral peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the United States, will take place in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11. The announcement was made by Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s envoy, IPN reports.

In a social media post, Steve Witkoff said the talks would focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian measures and the next steps in the peace process. The US envoy expressed confidence that the negotiations would build on the progress made during previous talks in Kyiv, Oslo and St Petersburg, with the aim of reaching a comprehensive and lasting peace agreement that would ensure long-term security for future generations.

Steve Witkoff also said that American negotiators would meet this week in Brussels with representatives of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union and NATO. The talks will focus on future security guarantees for Kyiv, Europe’s postwar security architecture and economic opportunities aimed at supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction.

So far, neither Moscow nor Kyiv has commented on the announcement by the US president’s envoy or specified who will make up the delegations taking part in the talks in Abu Dhabi.

The foreign ministers of the G20 countries, including US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, met in Atlanta last week. After two days of talks, they failed to reach a consensus on several critical global security issues. The disagreements centered primarily on the war Russia launched against Ukraine.
