The European Parliament invites young people to apply for ‘Schuman’ traineeships that will run from October to February. The deadline for application is May 31, IPN reports..

The program does not have an age limit and is intended for those who completed at least three years of university studies. The internships offer a monthly scholarship, and young people with disabilities benefit from additional support through complementary allowance and accommodations adapted to their needs.

Those interested can apply online on the European Parliament’s ep-stages.gestmax.eu platform, where candidates can find all the necessary information about the process and requirements.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, be citizens of a Member State of the European Union or of an acceding country, hold a university degree, have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the EU and have a very good knowledge of a second language (third-country nationals must have very good command of English, French or German), submit an eligible criminal record, not have worked or not have benefited from another traineeship for more than two consecutive months in an EU institution, body or agency, not have carried out a study visit to the General Secretariat of the Parliament less than six months before the start of the traineeship.

Schuman traineeships take place in a wide variety of fields, such as EU internal and external policies, finance, legislation, multilingualism, administration, infrastructure and logistics, communications or information technology. These internships are open to all graduates of undergraduate university studies, take place twice a year and last five months.
