The Women’s U-17 national football team drew in the second match of the preliminary rounds for the 2025-2026 European Championship. The “Eagles” ended in a tie, with a score of 2-2, in the match against the Kazakhstan team, reports IPN.
The Moldovan team opened the scoring in the 11th minute, through Polina Mazur, who scored her second goal in this preliminary campaign. However, our team was equalized in the 14th minute by Zhaniya Makhash, from a penalty.
Until the break, the Kazakhstan team scored once more, through Botagoz Jumazhanova, in the 40th minute. The “Eagles” sought the equalizing goal throughout the second half and managed to score in the 85th minute, through Olga Luca, who set the final score.
In the first match of group B4, the Moldovan national team drew with the Montenegrin selection, score 1-1.
Tuesday, April 7, in the final match of the mini-qualifying tournament, Kazakhstan and Montenegro will meet. The winner of the group and the best team ranked second out of the six groups of League B will be promoted to League A, 2026-2027 edition.
At present, Moldova holds the first place in the group, with two points, followed by the other two teams, each with one point.
