Over 57.5 million lei have been granted to entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova in the period of January-May, for the compensation of electric energy bills. This measure is part of the Compensation Program launched by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and funded with the support of the European Union, IPN reports.
In total, 711 entrepreneurs benefited from compensations, while over 1700 requests were approved in the five months of the program.
“This support is a concrete example of how working with our European partners directly benefits entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova. We want business people to focus on what they do best – innovating. Otherwise, the state and its partners will provide the necessary framework for businesses to grow and develop”, said Deputy Prime Minister Doina Nistor, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization of the Republic of Moldova.
The compensation program will continue until the end of the year, and entrepreneurs can submit their applications online – through the EVO application or through the MCabinet platform.
In order to address the needs of the business environment, some aspects of the program have been adjusted. As such, the deadline for submitting applications has been extended from 10 to 30 days from the date of issuing the invoice. Complete information about eligibility criteria, required documents and steps to follow are available on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Digitalization, under the section “Compensations”.
