The Information Technology and Cyber Security Service warns citizens and employees of public institutions about a new wave of fake content circulating online. The authors are illegally using the names and images of public institutions to send fake messages, IPN reports.
The authors of the fake messages create e-mail addresses that imitate the addresses of state authorities and send fake messages to employees and citizens. The information is used to discredit public institutions, spread disinformation and create mistrust and confusion.
The Information Technology and Cyber Security Service advises people to always verify information from official sources and report any suspicious messages to: [email protected].
