Professional Baccalaureate excluded

The students of technical and vocational educational institutions will no longer take Baccalaureate exams. Only the qualifying exam will be mandatory for them. This is stipulated in a bill to amend the Education Code, which was passed by Parliament, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the exclusion of the professional Baccalaureate is necessary because this exam unjustifiably limits the access to the labor market of graduates who passed the qualifying exam.

The bill also introduces changes concerning the holding of the Baccalaureate exams by students of general education institutions. More exactly, the third annual session for money will be annulled. Consequently, access to six free examination sessions will be ensured.
